Villa Tourtour
Contemporary Provence: a long lap pool, timber-beamed rooms and nothing but pine forest on the horizon.
The villa
Quiet luxury in the village in the sky
Just outside Tourtour, the hilltop village known as “le village dans le ciel”, this newly built villa sits in its own clearing among oak and pine, far from traffic and noise.
Inside, the living space rises to vaulted ceilings with exposed timber beams. Bold mural art, white leather sofas and a sculptural tulip dining table give it the feel of a private gallery, while wide sliding doors open the whole room to the covered terrace.
Outdoors is where the house really shines. A long, mineral-green lap pool runs the length of the garden, lined with daybeds under canvas cabanas and a steel pergola. Bedrooms are calm and natural in tone, with stone-clad bathrooms and soft morning light.
The house
- Open-plan living under vaulted timber ceilings
- Designer kitchen with breakfast bar
- Curated art and contemporary furniture
- Calm, natural-toned bedrooms
- Bathrooms clad in natural stone
Outdoors
- Long lap pool with Roman steps
- Shaded cabana daybeds
- Covered terrace with outdoor dining
- Pergola lounge by the pool
- Balconies over the garden and forest
The area
- Tourtour's medieval lanes, cafés and Sunday market
- Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte-Croix nearby
- Vineyards and truffle country of the Haut-Var
- An easy drive to the Riviera coast
